“Us Against the World”

In a world full of lies, the truth comes out from hiding,

Sometimes its hard to find the missing puzzle pieces, but you’ve seem to found the one in me,

We make up something right in a world full of wrong,

And everything between us is fighting against the world through it all

 

But it only takes you, and me, to use our love against everything in between,

Don’t start again, don’t let this end, its only the beginning,

 

Your words spin me in circles, saying one thing always meaning another,

For some reason I know that you’re right in the end of it all,

And all I ever needed was you, don’t let me fight it, I don’t want to hold back with you,

What you say is never what you mean but “I love you” is never the same thing,

I need you like you need me and you make me who I need to be

We’ll be together forever, standing strong, its gonna be us against the world,

 

Your friends keep pushing me around, testing my strength,

on to the next round, and you know exactly how I feel,

but its hard to get through to you, seeing that sometimes you take their side,

and I can’t seem to find the light anymore

And my confidence can’t stand another downfall so strong,

but you raise me up willing to risk it all, And shouldn’t I be doing the same,

to put a label on the risk that I’m willing to take?
